12/18/2015 – OKC, OK — An Oklahoma City attorney accused of traveling overseas to pay to have sex with children has changed his ‘not guilty’ plea to ‘guilty’ in federal court.
JohnTV has been reporting on local scum bag child molester Michael Dean Billings since Oct. of 2013 (link) after we learned Billings and others were being investigated for their many travels overseas. Prosecutors alleged these trips were for the purpose of engaging in sex with minors.
Most recently JohnTV reported on Billings (link), in Aug., after his attorney failed to convince a federal judge to reduce his house-arrest restrictions and allow him more access to children.
In November Billings again appeared before a federal judge and waived his right to a trial and pleaded guilty to one felony count.
Billings was immediately taken into custody.
Billings was originally indicted on three counts, but his plea deal centered around a single trip to Peru where Billings paid a 16-year-old girl to have sex with him.
Original Criminal Counts:
- Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children.
- Conspiracy to travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
- Conspiracy to engage in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places.
Billings faces up to 30-years in a federal prison, a $250,000 fine and sex offender registration upon release.
Though Billings and his attorney claim the guilty plea is an attempt for Billings to move on and one day be reunited with his family, none of Billings’ family members were present in the courtroom for his guilty plea.
It will be at least 90 days before Billings is formally sentenced in federal court.
Billings’ travels overseas have also been linked to Ada bondsman Robert Pierce and wannabe OKC high profile criminal defense attorney David (I’ll whore myself out to any news camera) Slane.
Neither Slane nor Pierce have been charged with any crimes regarding their highly questionable travels with Billings.
Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater previously told JohnTV’s own Brian Bates, in a telephone call, that his office received the case file and any evidence regarding Slane from another law enforcement agency too late to file charges (if warranted) against him because of the statute of limitations.
It has also been alleged that Slane was instrumental in Billings’ conviction – though, what that entailed we are holding off publishing for confirmation.
JohnTV will continue to follow this case.
